The Role We're seeking a Applied AI Backend Engineering Lead to lead our AI team in integrating advanced AI solutions into our Další-generation legal tech platforms and product (not research). You'll architect, implement, and scale AI-driven features that directly impact our users, shaping both the technical direction of our product and the growth of the engineering team. Feature development: Build scalable backend systems that power AI functionality. Innovation: Propose AI enhancements and improvements to elevate user experience. Improve system performance and scalability Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks across AI and core backend systems. Scalability planning: Build systems that scale with growing AI workloads and user demand. Monitoring & troubleshooting: Leverage metrics and logs to proactively maintain system reliability. Mentor and support the AI Solutions Team Team leadership: Guide engineers through code reviews, workshops, and pair programming. Knowledge sharing: Foster a culture of learning around AI integration and backend best practices. Career growth: Support junior engineers in skill development and confidence building. Collaborate across teams Cross-functional planning: Partner with Product, Design, and AI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Problem-solving: Drive discussions to resolve complex technical and product challenges. Feedback loop: Help prioritize AI initiatives, technical debt, and feature requests for maximum impact.
